Unable to record video. Screen recording results in a flat green video!

Using Rhode Videomicro for audio and Logitech BRIO for webcam.


Webcam recording comes out fine it is just the screen recording that is not working. Tried re-installing, removing preferences, reverted back to version7 but nothing works. Still the same result. Have around 58Gb free space in the laptop.


Need to send out a few videos, would really appreciate some help here.


PS. I have used Screenflow a lot in the past and never had this issue, not sure what's causing this.

  • Figured it out, if anyone else is having the same issue then make sure you give access to Screenflow in  the 'Privacy and Security settings -> Screen Recording'

  • abhishek In Mojave you need to give permission for recording, camera and mic too and Catalina will be even more secure as you can see. Keep in mind we still are working on changes for Catalina compatibility. ScreenFlow 8.2.3 is not Catalina compatible.
