Bradley Henry Is there a reason why you're using interlace? Are you doing TV broadcast work for example?

    • CraigS our building video distribution was all set up interlaced, as well as in the small physical switcher we have does not handle 1080p only 1080i

I can imagine older system are still like that. These days most HD and 4K TVs handle 1080p even though 1080  broadcast is still interlaced.

  • Always have to use 30p not 60i. Did the WBA Heavyweight Championship fight last week and the TV Truck had the cams set to 60i. No Go as the lateral lines with moving boxers made it unwatchable, switched to 30p everything was fixed as usual. This has been an issue since like version 3 or whichever one I bought back in the Ustream days and still is today in 13.

The current version of Wirecast is 14.1
If the video capture card supports it you can deinterlace.

You can use an input device that supports deinterlacing. Not all devices do though. HDMI to USB can present a problem.

    • CraigS Yes we use only BMD Decklink Duo2 cards for cameras and few BMD Decklink hdmi cards for other inputs. Currently we have 7 encoders with each having 2 cards so 8 inputs in use.
