Video playback

We have a text file we scroll over a live camera shot at the end of our Sunday services. While our stream is clean to that point, once the 1 minute file begins playing, we encounter up to 200 dropped frames until it is finished. How do we eliminate the dropped frames?

The file is an mp4 with a green screen background. When loaded into Wirecast, we use Chroma-key to get rid of the background. There is no audio.

We are running Wirecast 8.2.0 on an Intel Core i7-3770K cpu @3.5  Ghz. We are running on Windows 10 Pro and our video card is a Nvidia GeForce GT 520. CPU usage runs 32 percent.

  • Please update to Wirecast 9.0. See if you can convert the .mp4 to an i-frame type codec (MJPEG would be one example) as that would be less taxing on the decode side.
