Open Screenflow document from Dropbox to edit...

A client sent me her .dat file for me to open on my end, edit and export out as MP4.

When I go to Dropbox there are all the folders and other stuff.

Where do I begin?

Looked at similar posts but couldn't figure it out.

Alos, when I try to add the .dat file is says it's unrecognized.

They should send the ScreenFlow document in a folder and they can zip that folder. Dropbox (and other cloud utilities) may break apart the document which can cause problems.

  • Hey CraigS , this brings up a nice feature request - add an Export to Zip or Pack and Go or Share Project or Backup/Archive option that automatically zips the current project and all necessary media.  Bonus points for adding save options to common cloud drives: Google Drive, DropBox, Box, OneDrive, etc.
