Control Surface for switching
I would love to have a basic and small switcher similar to what Livestream offers: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1135027-REG/livestream_ls_studio_surface_go_universal_compact_control_surface.html
This would allow me to connect a 2nd monitor where I would drag the layer with my 3-4 camera inputs and let 1 person focus solely on switching shots while another person would use the wirecast UI for handling graphics or instant replays.

May I suggest a 3rd party product from Palette Gear. You not even have WIrecast in controll you have multiple other Apps supported as well.
Their Webside https://palettegear.com/
and a short demo how it works with wirecast can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP_vSABg3N0&t=88s

I had exactly the same need as you have Ben that's why i developed this application https://sourceforge.net/projects/wirecast-controlboard/
Coupled with Expedition Electronics lanc controller you can have a inexpensive ptz-switching system.

With the currently available software and integration you can only use palettegear in keyboard mode. That said, everything that you can control with any key in wirecast can be controlled by it. Palettegear is fully integrated as midi device in vMix. So there you are able to control everything like a normal midi device. Hoping for Wirecast to open the midi integration and allow functions to be freely allocated to midi controllers like in vMix. So far even the keyboard control in Wirecast is very limited. But if you use the Adobe Suite you have a very good controller at hand with the palettegear tools.

I love the fader as t-bar in vMix. Craig, honestly, it's a long way for wirecast to get to the point where vMix is at, in regards to remote control.
- Full Midi support
- Support of Triggers to perform whatever action
- Http Tally website
vMix might be a bit plain and flat in their UI. But better have a solid integration that works than a fancy UI with an unstable software. Examples: Stability, WebRTC, NDI
Sorry to say it in that clear publically. I'm a big fan of wirecast but it seems that the competitors are at the winning side. The beta 9 is not even getting closer and not filling the gap. And these word from a long time fan and early friend of wirecast.

I just replied to support and needed to explain the differences of unicast and multicast and the way NDI works. I know it's front line support (1st level) but these are basics, sorry. I won't write to support again. Senseless. Feel free to PM me a direct dev contact and I'm happy to explain what is needed in wirecast.
