Remote Desktop with LTE Hub

We are working with a group that needs to utilize a LTE Hub to send their content to us.  They do have a public IP on that Hub, and they've opened up port 7272 on their "send" machine with the Desktop Presenter software (Windows 10 and latest version of Desktop Presenter) .. but on our local machine with WCP 7.7, we dont see it showing up.  They don't have any firewalls in place and have ensure that Windows firewall was off.  Thoughts?

  • I know people have used Remote Desktop Presenter over the internet but I believe the frame rate is so low it's not practically usable. It might work but I'd think you could use other methods. It's not something we'd support. There may be other potential problems. Skype (or equivalent) screen share for example.

  • Thanks Craig. I agree re Skype etc. Just need to find a way to do this remotely via LTE due to non hard wired network. I'll keep pursuing a solution. Thanks again

  • Sean Skype should work fine with LTE. The wifi only restrictions have been lifted for the most part. There's also devices like the Teradek Cube and similar that can attach to a camera (or computer) and send over LTE.
