Let me save title templates
I am a teacher, and I am producing a series of videos for my class. I need to produce title pages that look all similar (the univ logo, my name, etc) and then the lecture name.
I tried the new titles in Screenflow 10 but they don't work for me, because I cannot save my titles as templates, and so, I cannot ensure that they look exactly the same except for the lecture title.
If I could scale and reposition text and logo, and then save it as template, it would be incredibly useful.
As it is, I still produce the title slides in Keynote, duplicating each title slide then editing the lecture title. I wish I could do it all in Screenflow.

The Title position and contents will be recalled with the Document Template.-
CraigS Can I edit the title of an Inserted title once it's been placed on the stage? I have a template set up that includes an inserted title that I have tweaked the look and feel of to match University branding. What I'd like to do each time I use that template is to edit the "Title text" to reflect the lesson of the day. Is this possible without having to re-insert a new title animation block?

Bill Bowman Currently Animated Titles can't be saved as Styles for reuse. That's the motive for the feature request which needs more votes. If making a New Document you can go the Template route which I mention above but that can be awkward in some cases.
If you're just using Text rather than Title those can be saved as reusable Styles. -

Something we have been doing - is keeping a ScreenFlow project called "transitions" or whatever - and then using that as a repository to keep a bunch of things we reuse often. Maybe not ideal, but it's working well for us right now. Just tossing that out there! : )

Thanks. The point is that I like also simple titles -- I find the ones you have a bit ... overdone in their animations -- so so far, I have been using Keynote to produce slides, and I might just continue doing that.
If you could have simple static titles, with a clean title, clean subtitle, a positionable logo, and a byline for the author, then I would use the feature.

Absolutely agree. I've asked Tech Support on this too and I think it's ridiculous for not being able to save Title templates or put Titles into the Global Library. This is essential in maintaining consistency of design across videos of the same series.

Luca de Keynote is a great tool for title creation. Assuming you are exporting them as movies and adding to Screenflow?

CraigS Yes, but Styles seem to apply only to text boxes but not Titles. I've tried templates too, but I was told by tech support that if I add some clips after creating a new document, that new document cannot be saved as a template and thus the Save Template menu command is dimmed.

CraigS Probably that is another feature request: allowing users to add resources and still save as a template.
