Publish to YouTube as portrait doesn't work

Publishing a 1080 x 1920 app screen video to YouTube doesn't work as the video is mangled. I have to export it to a file and manually upload it to YouTube to make a beautiful portrait phone-ready YouTube video. Thought you should know. :)

    is there another suggestion?

  • sarah You also need to crop the video in the ScreenFlow work area first

  • Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply @sarah I had to constrain my window as CraigS said and then I have to export to a file first and then upload to YouTube...straight to YouTube has never worked for me for mobile-friendly videos. Here's a video I created with it. I also put a YouTube-friendly off-white background in it plus in my case an iPhone frame. Here's the result...it looks great on a phone https://youtu.be/3bSkV5Aizdk

  • p.s. I left some whitespace below because YouTube on iOS puts a ribbon bar at the bottom so I leave that blank. You can reach me at neil@uphabit.com at any time for more information!

  • Hey,  I promised I'd do it a while ago and while I have a few seconds I recorded a quick video. sarah https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Udm_SX7BzsU See the two attached images...one is a background for YouTube and one is an iPhone X frame. Please feel free to do way better than me...I'm just an amateur. Note the order of the layers...it's what works for me!

  • CraigS see what I posted above...it's a 2 minute quick tour of what I did. I think Telestream should do a professional version of it. :)

  • CraigS and Telestream should have their own versions of the different phone frames
