Move Screenflow 7 to another system
I have the full licensed version of ScreenFlow 7. However, I temporarily need to record on another laptop while mine is away for repair.
Can I simply install Screenflow on another system with my current license (as obviously both won't be used simultaneously) with a view of removing the software once my main system is returned??
Or do I need to remove the licence from the first machine before I send it away, and then reinstall the licence when it returns?

Install a trial version on the second machine and capture. You can't export without a watermark but you can open the file on your original machine and export as usual.

Ifti Bashir We also have an online license reset tool in case you need to move the license from one computer to another. It makes it easy if you need to switch work computers periodically.

Ifti Bashir You're welcome of course. We wanted to make it easy and fast to move the license around especially if you're not in front of the other machine to deactivate for moving.

Just make is easy to install on more than one machine. Much better. I had better repeat this. Allow. More. Than. One. Machine. You are most welcome.

John Laing If you buy from the Mac App Store you can install on all the machines you own. That's the advantage of the App Store version. The disadvantage is the limited upgrade window.
Even with our web store version, you can install on multiple machines. Only one can be licensed. Upgrade pricing remains in effect much longer.

I still think this is weird, but thank you very much for clarifying this. I really, really like ScreenFlow, by the way. It would be nice if it was easier, but I realize we don't live in a perfect world.

John Laing Serial number licensing is always limited. That's not specific to our products or company. You can use ScreenFlow on as many computers as you want in demo mode and move the license as often as you want or even move the document to the licensed computer. This is standard for nearly all companies. We (as well as other companies) sell multiple licenses to larger institutions for that reason.
The App Store is specifically designed for the alternative model.
