Wirecast Go Flipping the Video Image

I'm using Wirecast Go to broadcast cooking shows, feature products, and cookbook reviews to my YouTube channel. LOVING the video and audio quality, no lagging, no pixelation...it's all good!
One face cringer, my audience sees everything backwards, such as  book titles, product labels.  backwards t-shirt logo. It's a bummer.

Are there any plans to update the app to flip the video so the audience can read left to right?

Can you try with the other camera on the phone?
I believe this is an issue when one of the cameras is used.
Are you using the screen or back (main) camera?

  • I'm using the screen side camera so I know when I fall out of frame. I'm a one-woman show.

Thanks for that. I suspect the issue is camera specific. You can test that.
Please do fill out the form and report the issue.

  • I'm using an iPhone 6s Plus.  I record ALL of my YouTube videos using the screen side camera, it doesn't flip the image showing everything backwards, never has with any of my iPhones.

Isn't there a line a code the developers could add to the app that would fix this?

It may be more complex than that. If you email support with your case number you can request a progress report on the issue.

Was this posted 4 years ago?  I'm having the same problem today.  When I have guests connect the image is backward.  If nothing else, it would be nice to flip the image within Wirecast.

It's only a problem when the guest is looking at their phone with the side of the screen.

Probably before we started taking votes and moved to a votes thread to measure public interest.

@CraigS,  Is there anything I can do to help get more votes for this?  Or, should I look a maybe buying a different monitor?  I would rather send the money to Telestream to add it.

Will Johnson I wonder if things like Newtek and SiennaTV NDI Cam are drawing more attention (they both work with Wirecast through NDI) although those apps may be a bit pricey for some.

I found that changing the Y Rotation help with the mirror image when coming from Rendezvous.  I hope this helps.
