iPhone recording has wrong info at top

You can see the differences. (The 8:21 p.m. is the actual time.) The left and right sides I really don't care, but I'd like the time to be at least close to correct. And I wonder where it comes from???  I tried three apps, and they are all the same.

ScreenFlow 8.2.2, macOS 10.14.1, MacBook Pro

  • I've seen this as well. As a test please do a recording of your iPhone in Quicktime. It's possible this is an iOS/macOS issue. ScreenFlow uses that infrastructure to do its screen recordings of iOS devices.

  • 9:41 is the time that the first iPhone was revealed on stage years ago.  Nearly all recordings made on iPhones that are tethered to a mac show this time.  It's kind of a 'feature' and something that's probably coming from the OS and not ScreenFlow. None of the screen recorders I use regularly including ScreenFlow to record iOS devices show the actual time on the recording.  Recordings also always show full signal strength for your wireless carrier. Look through any picture of an iPhone put out by Apple and you'll notice the same thing.
