Combining 2 screen flow files

Hi,

I havent (yet) figured out how to "merge" 2 screenflow files into one project.

I.e.: I have 2 recordings (open in 2 sepereate screen flow windows). And I want to combine into one larger video.

In media its not possible to add a screen flow file format (huh?)

I have tried to drag between the 2 windows., and tried to drag to the desktop. None of it is working for me.

So far I am saving each project as an mp4, and then figured I could stich them together in Screenflow. But that requires that I export again, as when imported they are converted back into screenflow format.

Alternativly i import the mp4s into iMovie and stich it together there.

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

ScreenFlow 6.2.1, OS 10.12.4. I have no problem dragging the recording from one project's media bin to the the media bin of another project.

I've also been able to copy the Timeline of one Project and Paste it into the Timeline of another Project.

  • Is there an issue or am I doing something wrong with merging projects.  I find that when I copy project A (Audio, Video, Annotations) to Project B - The Annotations are all off and not lined up where they were in Project A - Audio and Video are in Sync but not the annotations.

Steve Claydon In my example above, I'm only copying what is directly part of a single track, no Annotations or Text. It's possible they may not maintain their position in their respective tracks.

  • Are anyone having an issue when I am merging the recordings to make on the project, the edited versions are not available. I have done different recordings and edited them separately and save them but when I merge them, the merging the files for the version that is not edited. This is so weird because when I open up the file separately it is showing the edited version. I have saved this like 10 times then merge them to make one project but I am still not able to get the edited version to merge. Anyone was able to solve this issue.

Ronica Brown You can copy recordings from one document to another but not edited timelines.
If you'd like to merge two edited timeline that would be an interesting feature request. Certainly do fill out the form and make it.

James Ford You can't merge 2 .screenflow documents. You can copy media from one document to another. Note that ScreenFlow only has one timeline in a document so there's be no easy way to merge 2 documents since that would imply two timelines. You should be able to cut and paste between 2 documents though if you want everything on one timeline.
