Resolution Settings Not Saving

I am using Wirecast Pro, and for some reason, I have to change the output resolution settings every time I stream. I've been saving the settings after I update them to 1920x1080 every week, but each time I boot back up, the settings are back to 680. It's driving me nuts! Is this normal? Should this setting not save?

     Wirecast 13.13?
    Canvas Size or Encoder settings?
    Any specific destination?

Are you saving the document with the settings?
It's not clear what you're doing exactly.

  • I also have this issue in 14.0.1.

If I set the NDI Output or the UltraStudio Mini Monitor Output to any resolution, save the document, close Wirecast, reopen the document, when I re-open it is reset to Match Canvas. The canvas is set to 1920x1080

Bryce Seifert Did this issue previously exist in 13.1.3?

Bryce Seifert Still a work in progress as a couple of related issues need to be fixed first.

Bryce Seifert Investigating prioritization as other related issues needed to be addressed first (and may have been at this point) in order for this to be done as well.

This issue with the SDI output resolution not saving has been the cause of quite a bit of embarrassment for me.   It's bad enough that the SDI/NDI outputs can't just be persistent like in OBS where they just automatically start when you open it.  But in this case,  not only do you have to manually go through output > cardname > start,    you also have to select the resolution because it forgets it and resets to canvas size every single time.  I have an SDI output going from a black magic mini monitor card from our main auditorium to a TV in our security room. The TV it's connected to can only support 720p for some reason, but our canvas is at 1080p.  The person who operates wirecast just clicks 'start' half the time and doesn't remember to change the resolution,  so after an event the work room guys complain they had nothing on the TV.

Fred Tim Sorry about that. The developers are looking into this for prioritzation.

Are you having this issue with both NDI out and SDI VideoCard (usually Blackmagic) outuput?
