Native Support for Video Capture Vertical mode 9:16

Hi, I'm using WC 15.0.1 Mac. I'm using Blackmagic ATEM mini and Blackmagic Recorder to Capture my video source. When I imported the ATEM mini video feed, I realized it couldn't do a vertical flip natively. I need to manually rotate and enlarge my video to 180% to fit the vertical video canvas, FYI, I create the canvas on vertical 9:16, I also try to create on normal 16:9 and change it to vertical it also cant work. I tested the same device with some other streaming software it works natively without the need to enlarge the video. Thanks

I tested and confirmed 9:16 from my iPhone for example.
It's quite possible the ATEM Mini doesn't support 9:16.
Can you confirm and provide screenshots that show the ATEM Mini output support 9:16 in another app for example?

Can I see the settings in Wirecast System Device and Shot Layer Properties panes?

    Wirecast Canvas 9:16
    iPhone USB into computer
Size is 720 by 1280 (which is 9:16)
iPhone frame size is 19.5:9 so it's slightly off on the edges but accurate since it's not true 9:16)
Actual iPhone 12 Pro frame size is 844 by 390

    Coming from iPhone Wirecast Go.
UHD frame size but does have a small black boarder (which may be a Wirecast Go issue).

I think the issue is that Wirecast 9:16 Canvas frame size may not be fixed. As you can see the same iPhone is handled differently over USB, vs recorded file, vs Wirecast Go over Wifi.

Having to rotate would be normal if there's no "flag" identifying the source as 9:16.
Having to enlarge may be due to the source being seen as 16:9 instead and therefor impacting the Wirecast canvas size.

edmund en Thanks for that. I think one difference is how the two apps handle Canvas size differently. Started investigation WIRE-20484

Thanks.. because we do a lot of vertical live, clients complain about the quality drop from the camera. Please update me about that.

      edmund en Note the difference.
      They're bringing in at 1280x720
Rotate 90ª so their Canvas may be 720x1280

Wirecast is bringing in at 1920x1080

And needs to be further scaled up because Wirecast Canvas is UHD at 2160x3840
Wirecast has a much larger Canvas.

CraigS but when u bring in the source 1920x1080 and set the wirecast 720x1280 the captured video is smaller.so need to enlarge it 183% after rotate. It suppose no need any enlarge after rotate, if you saying bring in native 1920x1080 I should scale down instead of scale up.

edmund en Please reread my message. Wirecast Canvas is much larger than the other software so you have to scale up. Wirecast is UHD (4k), Other software seems to be just 720.

Wirecast is bringing in at a higher resolution than the other software but it also has a much larger canvas so it still needs to be scaled up further.
