Wirecast > YouTube latest info pls
Hi, I have a 3 day event coming up to stream to YT. It will be multiple presentations, start / stop / start throughout. Some room changes for the camera and laptop too.
I've seen the pinned post re YT changes and I've done tests but getting a little confused about what works / doesn't.
Given the nature of my event please advise the best way to set up a YT event that I can start / stop / start streaming to for 3 days, to give viewers a seamless experience with one YT URL for them. TIA.

The best way to use YouTube is to schedule the events in Wirecast and not YouTube Studio. Otherwise, you can use Generic RTMP and paste in Address and Stream Key. I think Generic RTMP may be best in your case. I would run some tests starting and stopping the stream to confirm. YouTube seems to be a bit of a moving target with its ongoing changes.

One more... I am not an admin / manager of the client's YT channel (we both had error messages trying to add me). If I just use the stream url and key (in WC) that he creates (in YT), does it matter that I am not authenticated etc? Seemed ok in test but I wonder if I will get blocked further down the line?
