Video format
I am using Wirecast 14.3.1 on a 2017 iMac. I use a Sony NX100 camera into a Flint LX capture card via HDMI and then USB into the iMac. There is a menu of video formats in the System Device Properties panel. How do I know which is the correct format for me to use? Thanks in advance.

Generally, to chose the best is to first check on the quality of each in the Live Area. The next is to check if either has an impact on CPU use by doing a local recording. Use the same preset and change the source format.

The only two options available are MJPEG Open DML and Y'CbCr 4:2:2 - yuvy.MJPEG is a common default so you can start with that. I get this even from some webcams.
But if you only had 420 and 422 then 422 would be the default to start with.
I should mention that the codec choice can impact frame size and frame rate choice as well so if you're not getting the options you want, do switch and see if they show up.
