Camera Switching

I am using two cameras in my live streams and want to be able to easily switch between the two camera views.  I assigned hotkeys 1 and 2 to the two cameras.  However, unless I turn on AutoLive, pressing these hotkeys only places them in the preview window and I still must click the GoLive arrow. This gives too much delay.  On the other hand, I cannot change to AutoLive because my live streams involve a lot of prepping sources in the preview window before I am ready to go live.

Is there any way to ONLY make these hotkeys for the cameras to instantly go live, while leaving every thing else in the preview mode?

Also, is there any way to use the multi-viewer as a camera switcher?  I had thought if I had a monitor set up as a multi viewer showing my two camera sources, I could just click back and forth on either one and it would change the active camera.  However, it seems that the multi-viewer is not clickable?

  • Yes, a main difference between Auto Live and Go Live is that one requires you to go to Preview first. There is a key command Command or Control L you can use instead of clicking on the Go Live arrow. So you'd be hitting your hotkey and then the key to GoLive back to back.

Perhaps using an XKeys or StreamDeck device might be worthwhile, given their programmed keys.

    MultiViewer is for output only.

Some have mirrored Wirecast to a tablet to use as a touch screen interface.
