Best way to process a batch of similar videos?

For those with more experience, I'd like a recommendation for the best way to process a batch of similar videos.

What we are doing is creating a number of podcasts in video format by simply putting a single image in the background throughout the length of the audio. It's easy to do 6 or 10 of these in one file, then export to YouTube, where we can trim them into separate interviews.

However, it would be really great to create the videos in a single ScreenFlow document, then export just the portions of each video as discrete MP4 files. It doesn't look like this is possible in the current version (v7.0).

If you were doing this, would you:

  1. Make a separate file for each video, so that everything is simple and clean?
  2. Create a batch of videos in a single file, export as MP4, and then split the videos into separate files with QuickTime, YouTube, or some other tool?
  3. Something altogether different?

Thanks for your suggestion!

  • You can export selected ranges but not multiple selected ranges. Mark In/Out then export. Mark a new In/out and export the new range, etc. Or would you like a way to set multiple in/out points and export them all as a batch?
