Adjusting sound levels

For ScreenFlow 6, how do I adjust the recorded sound levels of my mic and my PC sound? My PC sound is fine if not too loud but my mic is too quiet. I have been speaking too quietly but it definitely needs a boost in its volume.

  • Thanks CraigS. Glad to know how to do this!

One last question about your second image. After I have created a recording I can increase the volume, I assume that increases like a master volume, correct? So both my mic and computer sound will increase equally?

Is there no way to just increase one or the other? I'd like to modify the mic volume on existing videos. I saw somewhere in an older post you can copy and paste the audio track to boost the volume, I might try that.

In future videos I'll have already increased the volume of the input device as you showed me with your first graphic.

    Thanks again, I'm loving ScreenFlow!

  • And when I upload to youtube I take it both solutions above will have a resulting volume boost in the resulting video uploaded to youtube?

Andre Flory you can increase the volume of individual tracks.
Increasing volume on input and then increasing the individual track as well and it will be in the exported video and audio when uploading to YouTube.
