Using X Keys 128 in a Playlist shot
I have been using an X Keys controller for a few years, and sometime during the last year I began having issues with strange behavior using the X keys. I have 3 desktop presenter shots in my layer 2 ( PIP overlays for lyrics and scripture etc.) , all from an iMac next to me running ProPresenter for our screens. I am using that VGA output ( using desktop presenter) on that iMac to provide that overlay on my layer 3 shots. My layer 3 has multiple playlist shots using our 4 PTZ Optics cameras utilizing various presets depending on the venue. The X keys 128 works fine with only the main layer shot open, but once I select a playlist on layer 3 and try to either clear layer 2 or add a desktop presenter shot from layer 2, my preview shot changes to some Random shot from the playlist. The desktop presenter shot that was added will move to the live shot if I hit the go live button, and the Random preview shot does not. Same sort of thing happens if the layer 2 clear button it hit while in a layer 3 playlist, again some random playlist shots goes to preview, desktop presenter is cleared in preview, but, when go line live button is hit, desktop presenter overlay clears, and random preview shot stays in preview window. It would seem that this only happens with desktop presenter shots in layer 2. I have some lower third shots in layer 2 that do not introduce this same problem. Along with that, when any of the layer 2 desktop presenter shots are selected (PIP on top of a layer 3 shot) , the layer 3 shot becomes very glitchy until I either just mouse click the preview window or mouse click the glitchy shot in the layer. Latest windows 10 updates, and latest Wirecast version with updates. Seems like this all started after a Wirecast update earlier last year sometime, but, took me a while to sort out what exactly was going on. I have cleared preferences, and started from scratch on new document with no help.

We'd need specific version numbers of Wirecast and OSs.
It's possible that the XKeys itself may need a firmware update.
It's also possible it's related to document or Wirecast Preferences.
Test in a new document just using the function causing the issue.
You may want to reset Wirecast preferences as well.

I always have the latest version of WirecastCurrent is 15.1.2 but 15.2 is coming out within the next few days so you may want to test with that. We've had no X-Keys reported with the beta so perhaps you can confirm. Otherwise, you can download the 15.2 Beta today and test it.

I have also contacted X Keys support, and they are talking about possible firmware update as well. Thanks for doing that.
