Shot numbers on each layer for Xkeys users

I wonder if anyone else would be interested in this? We often do complicated layered shots and have more than 8 shots per layer. Although Xkeys is a great tool, it often gets confusing finding the right key that corresponds to a particular shot when running a fast paced environment. I would love to see the what the interest would be in the ability to add numbers to the shots that correspond to the numbers on the Xkeys keyboard. These numbers could be simple overlays (like the keyboard hotkeys numbers/titles are) or they could possibly lay on the same panel the shot name lays on.  Here is a sample of what I think it could look like. I have a couple of options in this picture on layer 3 such as upper left corner on a transparent box or lower right corner in the title box.

The most important aspect of this would be that the number corresponds to the shot position on the layer and isn't tied directly to the actual shot. We often have to rearrange our shots mid show and would not want the number to follow the shot (i.e. we move the shot currently in position 1 to position 3 so the xkeys number would change to 3 on the shot icon). This also would only have to be enabled when you are using the xkeys controller template.

Anyone have any thoughts on this or other suggestions? Is it worth the developer's time?

It seems you have three images that aren't displaying. Can you fix that?

    • CraigS So, I tried to upload the image 3 times and it failed. I tried to edit the post to eliminate the blank images and I still don't have an "edit" option. It only gives me the option to follow.

Interestingly, I can edit this comment but not my original post.

Rich Rogers Can you provide Dropbox or equivalent so I can download the images and perhaps convert and add them myself?
This may help the developers see the issue and make it clear for other users so they may vote for it.

    • CraigS It's the same image that I finally was able to upload. There should only be one image in my post.
