Audio Filters keep going back to Default value

I'm using some 3rd party plugins as Audio Filters in my Screenflow projects.

I'll change the parameters on the audio filter plugin and then close the UI window.

But when I open the UI again it has gone back to the default parameters of the plugin. So its not retaining the changes to the parameters I make.

I checked and its not a plugin issue as these plugins work fine in my audio software. Its just in Screenflow.

Anyone else had this issue?

I'd like to help but you need to provide specifics.
Some third party audio filters have issues in ScreenFlow.

Please be sure you're on ScreenFlow 10.0.5 and macOS 11.6.5 or 12.3.1

  • Sure CraigS . So the plugin I'm using is iZotope RX.

And I'm on Screenflow 10.0.5 on macOS 10.15.7. I'm still on Catalina due to some other software only working with Catalina.

Gary Hiebner Thanks for those details. I've had issues with iZotope RX plugins as well.

Please include the version of iZotope RX and a specific example with steps so we can reproduce the issue.

    • CraigS thanks for the reply. I'm using iZotope RX 9.3.0

So I'm using the RX Voice De-Noise module. And And I am increasing the Threshold and Reduction parameters. But then when I close the plugins window and open it again those parameters have jumped back to their default positions.

You would have to add the filter to the clip. Then change the settings. Complete steps to reproduce are important.

    • CraigS Yes, that is what I'm doing. I'm selecting an audio clip. Then adding the audio filter. Changing the settings. And if I close the audio filter UI. Move to another clip and then back to that clip the settings on the audio filter plugin have gone back to their default value.

Gary Hiebner I only have RX 7 but doing what I think are the same steps as you when I go back to the clip I get the retained settings.

Can you please make a screen recording of walking through the steps?
