So says who?  “On social” has been about techniques in marketing.  It needs a different name like “Tutorial Wirecast (Edition)-(Task)”.

ex: Tutorial Wirecast 13.2-Creating A Rendezvous Session

It could have the page number applicable for beginners to follow along with the procedures.

  • On Social is very good and I get good ideas from the show. The folks on the show make clear that it is not a Wirecast show. I think there is room for both types of show. Andrew Haley had a skill set that was unique. He was folksy and a very good teacher.I worked closely with Andrew and Lynn on producing a webinar a few years ago. Both were great to work with on the webinar. I'm seeing a little negative trend on things lately that a weekly tips and tricks show might help alleviate.I always seemed to learn something from the show either from Andrew or his guests.Be well everyone.

a weekly tips and tricks show might help

I can't guarantee it'll be the whole show at this point but it should be part of it.

Lynn is a key decision-maker. Andrew has chosen a different path.

    “should be”

either it IS or it ISN’T

Ten minutes give or take to demonstrate a feature or task.

    A few thoughts.

    1. Failing to broadcast on youtube is a mistake. Facebook is nice, youtube is required.

    2. The topics covered might be interesting, the relevance is questionable. They are generic social media tips and tricks. While we're learning the non tech stuff, people in the real world using Wirecast are crashing and burning.

    3. I tried to create something that was "Wirecast in the Wild". It was intended to be a positive spin on the workarounds I had learnt about Wirecast along my journey... but the work load of producing it exceeded my interest level.

I personally think my concept of Wirecast in the Wild is a good one - Real, down to earth use cases. Acknowledge limitations where they exist, and explain how to achieve streaming goals with what is available - and foreshadow what might be to come in the future. That would be a winner in my books.

Future shows are just that. Future. Program content itself involves planing.

  • We understand people want more Wirecast tutorial or Wirecast based content. We are in the process of adding tips and tricks to the show. We also have to hit all demographics with the show. We also have to look at the WHOLE picture of not everyone is a beginner or not everyone is advanced. That's a really tough scope to consider. Andrew no longer works for the company, so bringing him back to do a Wirecast show is not an option. The decision was made NOT to do a Wirecast specific show. But as we move forward, we plan on giving a Wirecast Tip or Trick per week. To help those struggling with Wirecast. As we know with Wirecast, everyone's workflow and setup is different. Avoiding doing a Wirecast based show is good for many reasons. Some try to dominate a chat room by just complaining about the product. Rather than giving constructive criticism, they will complain. But I think with On Social, if we institute these things, we can make the show better. I'm asked time and time again for folks to send an email in to let us know what they would like to see... CRICKETS..... So please if you have suggestions, I'm not always in these forums, we'd love to have targeted content and show that this content is needed. Also for the record, we stream to Facebook, Youtube, Linkedin plus all of my The Tech Buzz destinations. So there is a variety of ways to watch. Thanks for those that enjoy the show and tune in, we appreciate it. Feel free to email me your show suggestions at stephenh@telestream.net Thanks guys!

    We do broadcast on Youtube

Hmm. I was not aware of that. I thought you confirmed previously that you would not be broadcasting on youtube going forward. In either event, I have not received notifications.

One other challenge is your time of day. Its earlier than the old slot, and I am still very much asleep at that time. I know there is no perfect time, but a little later could be a sweet spot to allow APAC region people to tune in as well.

  • Greg Kuhnert Maybe you're confusing with I wasn't going to stream to The Tech Buzz Youtube for the show any longer. I'm trying to build up the Wirecast youtube channel. I know the time isn't ideal for everyone. But it's the most neutral for people throughout the world. Your 100% right, we aren't going to be able to please everyone on time.
