Narration stops itself with AirPods Pro as mic input

If I add narration with the AirPods Pro selected as the input source, recording stops itself after about 2 seconds. If I change the input to the iMac Pro mic, recording continues until I stop it. Any way to fix this?

OS X 10.15.3

Screenflow 9.0.2

I wonder if it's the combination of using bluetooth in and out at the same time. As a test can you use AirPods in but monitor out through the computer's speakers?

Having the same issue. The narration was working previously. Without making any changes to audio input or output, now it stops automatically after about 4-5 seconds and creates a small (< 1 sec) audio clip just before the scrubber insertion point. See the attached video. In this clip, I do not stop the recording, it just stops itself.

The problem persists even when the computer speakers are set as the sound output.

This doesn't seem to be a problem when a different microphone is designated as the input. The odd thing is that again, this was working fine for the last several hours until now, without me making any changes in input/output settings, etc. just prior to this.

    Screenflow 10.0.3; OS X 11.6.1

Brian Kwan You're welcome of course. We'll investigate the fix.
Air Pods Pro as mic work when setting up an initial Configure Recording but they don't work in Narration as you describe.

I'm experiencing this as well (in 10.0.5). Was there ever any progress in a fix?

I have the same problem using a pair of Bose QC35 ii headphones. Will there be a fix for this?

I have also found out that if I save the file, close ScreenFlow, make sure my headset is connected, and then reopen ScreenFlow, it will work as intended

Ian Jukes Thanks for adding that info. So it seems this is impacting a number of Bluetooth headsets. We're still investigating this.

We believe this is an Apple-related issue and do hope they fix it.
