Adding your own masks, that's okay. But how to make rounded corners? If you add the option to set the fillet radius, then you could create more interesting masks in the classic way. If I want to do this from the MASK option, it cannot be done simply. If we had to expand the CROP function by one slider and add rounding the corners, then we could create a mask that suits us ... and probably, with the maximum curvature, a mask of a circle at once ... isn't it?
Ah, and let's not forget the softness slider
Simple two functions and it will give you so many possibilities ;-)

I wrestled with this also, expecting something as quick a Ecamm etc. The built-in Oval does not become a circle. But, after some experimentation, I determined that Wirecast discards the transparent pixels, and uses BLACK for the image to show thru. So, create a PSD with transparent background, and a black circle (for example) centered, and it will mask your video into the circle beautifully after selecting your new mask in the 'Border' dialog.
