Media Files in Live Window but Not Appearing in Live Stream

We created a bunch of commercials to air between innings of our baseball broadcasts on YouTube. I move them into preview and when the inning ends I move them Live. they show in the Live window as playing and I can monitor the audio, however, they are not Streaming on the YouTube broadcast.

They are self created - there shouldn't be an HDCP issues or similar.

If they're playing in Wirecast Live Broadcast area the issue may not be Wirecast.

hey are not Streaming on the YouTube broadcast.

This needs a more detailed explanation. I'm not sure what you mean by that or what you are seeing.
If you can do a local recording and they play then Wirecast itself may not be the issue especially if the rest of the stream was visible on YouTube.

  • We are broadcasting baseball games live on YouTube streaming through Wirecast. The commercials we made are saved as MP4 files which are imported into Wirecast and lined as shots in my video layer. I click them into preview and then take them live when the inning ends. You can see them in the Live window of Wirecast and hear them through headphone monitoring, however, they cannot be seen on the YouTube livestream

It's not clear what is seen on YouTube. "Cannot be seen" can be interpreted in any number of ways. Perhaps YouTube is blocking them. Perhaps the stream disconnects due to either an Internet or YouTube issue. Again you'd need a more detailed description. Sorry.

    • CraigS  we have a live baseball broadcast. We prerecorded videos of commercials to play in between innings. The video and the audio of the commercials play in the live Wirecast window but they are not on the YouTube live stream.

What is viewed? It's not clear what's happening.

     They may be.

  • While the commercial is playing in the Live Window of Wirecast of my laptop, the YouTube stream continues to show the live shot of the baseball field. Not even sure how it’s doing it.

      Greg DeCelle

Your screenshot shows that you aren't streaming in the Wirecast interface though as per the Wirecast Stream indicator and Stream time showing 00:00:00.

      YouTube doesn't look live either.

    • CraigS  Yes, I know that. I was showing you that to give you a visual of what we were seeing when it actually happened the other day. The screen cap of YouTube was the actual broadcast from Saturday the 23rd - we were definitely streaming live

Greg DeCelle Perhaps they are blocking your commercials. Maybe it's a terms of service issue regarding monetization or sponsors.

What bitrate are you exporting those videos at when they are made?

TECNOLOGIA CDL I'm not sure that's the same issue. The original poster had the video live but not their commercial. Basically, they saw the wrong video.

You must include a more detailed description so someone can reproduce your steps.
