If I remember correctly it was mention that we might be able to configure buttons to our liking
There is no Telestream supported configuration possible. However, I have previously posted here an example of how to put record buttons on an APC40 MKii. This change was a zero code change tweak, requiring XML changes only, after I lost hope on any officially supported improvements in this area any time soon.
I have not done this for the mini, but it should be possible. Do a search around for my post in for the APC40, and that should give you a head start.
I have recently been gifted a Akai APC Mini Controller/Launchpad, I run a small internet radio station & present live shows etc. I am wondering if there is any software out there except Ableton, that is compatible with my APC Mini that would be simple to drag & drop some jingles/effects to play through the computer into my mixer. That wouldn't be as complicated as Ableton/Hybrid Air.
Looking to hopefully use when recording shows, to fire off jingles, effects & backing music to make it easier. Is there anything out there?
I am developing MidiManager (free), its an easy to use tool to bind functions to MidiDevices. It supports (among others) the Akai APC Mini.
You can check it out here: https://jitse-ten-hove.itch.io/midimanager
Maybe someone finds it useful :)
I just bought a APCmini, to use it as a light controler. I conected to my computer, it showed me that is instaled, but no lights on the APC, even when I push buttons randomly. My current software that came with my DMX interface doesn't have midi mapping, so I know that I have to buy a new software (Soundswitch probably). I just want to know if, when connected, there should lit some of the APC buttons, even if you don't have any software designated to it, opened, or this is a mallfunction and I should send it back and ask for a replacement. I hope i don't sound stupid, but is first time I use APCmini, and I didn't find any tutorial about that. Thank you, if you can help a begginer. :)
