A way to recover discarded files?
After I'd finished a recording and I was going to save it to my computer, I'd accidentally clicked on the "Don't Save" button (stupid, I know). I looked through all of my files, even using a program to look through .scc files, which shows all Screenflow files, and I couldn't find anything. Is there any way that I can get the recording back or is it gone forever?

To find the temp recording:
Open ScreenFlow, hold the SHIFT button and click Help>Open Temp Folder in Finder. Here look through the folders to find a .scc file.
This would be the default Scratch Disk location if you haven't changed it in ScreenFlow Preferences. One reason to change the default is so that you can point to an easier to find location should accidents happen. -
If there's no .scc file than it would be gone. Once the OS sees it as expendable it may dump it. Sorry about that.
You can download the free EasyFind from the Mac app store and try using that to search for .scc just in case.
There's always a remote chance that Time Machine (if you use Time Machine) has it if it ran a backup before it cleared.

OH MY GOSH you saved my life! I had just done an amazing training, you know the kind where you give your all and yet, in the middle you're struggling but tell yourself you CAN finish it! Yeah, one of those days!
We searched for the file and couldn't find it. Then I found this post. THANK YOU!!!! It works!!!! :)
I LOVE ScreenFlow and recommend it to all of our clients! Thanks again!
