Layered video stuttering - Case 00542082

Hi all.

Had a live stream over the weekend. During prep, there was a problem that I saw intermittently. Let me explain my layers.

  1. Titler Live - Always live for title input
  2. Full screen videos
  3. Virtual set and local camera
  4. Video from Rendezvous guest or other media
  5. Audio

Initially, I have layer 1, 3, 4, and 5 active with my Rendezvous guest on Layer 4. I have a media file ready on a shot on layer 4, which I send live. There is a copy of that shot on layer 2 that has no audio, and is set to continue playing from current location in full screen. With some media files (not all) it stutters. Not sure why.

I am sharing here in case there are possible community solutions.

Codec of the file may be factor as it contributes to the system's workload. If it was H.264 using an all iFrame codec may be easier.

As a test you may want to try to remove individual layers to see if the specific interaction of another layer contributes to the playback issue.
